Valmue Valentino: a duo show with artists Cecilie Skov and Aia Sofia Coverley Turan. The exhibition deals with repetition and transformation. Through a sculptural installation the two artists - both simultaneously working with figuration and abstraction - seek to describe the plasticity of absence and examine the weight of emotional materiality.
This is the first time that Cecilie Skov and Aia Sofia Coverley Turan are exhibiting together. It is with great formalistic contrast, that with each of their works they fill the two floors of the concrete box Four Boxes, and through a sensitive connection that the two visual artistic practices have found a kinship. As the title Valmue Valentino (Poppy Valentino) implies, there is a shaky and fragile but still strongly composed dynamic at stake.
